Today was a day without much sun, but reasonably warm for the time of year. I picked up Amélie in Ghent around noon and had to give work my full focus for the rest of the day.
An evening walk with Gizmo took me to the green and red corn that is now really ripening. It smells sweet. The corn is so high that you can no longer see the horizon. In a couple of days or weeks, this land will become barren again, and you will be able to see the hills nearby.
The setting sun was still bright. Hopefully she will bring some more warmth in the coming weeks, because autumn starts tomorrow... let it be a warm autumn, one with lots of sun but unfortunately also with shortening days.
