There was an excited atmosphere in the city because of a World Cup football match between Portugal and Turkey in Germany. Portugal's victory created a festive mood. We enjoyed a drink on a terrace and then walked further along a row of windows full of sweets and Pastéis de Nata.
At 28 degrees, it wasn't too hot, but warm enough to wisely seek shade from time to time. We ended this first day with an impressive 20,748 steps, equivalent to 15.19 km and 824 kcal.
